Since tearing his Achilles is game 6 of last year’s NBA Finals, it was assumed, rightfully so, that the Brooklyn Nets forward would not be seen on the court for his new team this season.
Video surfaced of him taking some jumpers at the Nets practice facility, which will undoubtedly fuel speculation, and even some hope that we could see KD play this year. However brakes need to be pumped; Durant himself has said he will not return this season, and inspection of the video shows KD shooting midrange jumpers but his feet are not leaving the ground. While a return does not seem imminent, nonetheless it is great to see Durant back on the court in some capacity.
