Jordan Brand is taking a trip back to one of Michael Jordan’s most memorable Madison Square Garden moments with the upcoming “Last Dance At The Garden” Air Jordan 1 Low OG
Inspired by Jordan’s final game at Madison Square Garden as a member of the Chicago Bulls, the sneaker pays tribute to the March 8, 1998 matchup against the New York Knicks. During that game, Jordan famously wore the original “Chicago”Air Jordan I despite being 14 years removed from the sneaker’s original release. He finished the night with 42 points.
The new Air Jordan 1 Low OG takes inspiration from that iconic “Chicago” color blocking but gives it a premium makeover. The upper combines white full-grain leather with black and red woven textile overlays, while metallic gold detailing appears around the Swoosh, eyelets and Wings branding.
The floral-inspired woven pattern across the overlays adds another layer to the design, referencing “The Garden” while giving the classic Air Jordan 1 Low silhouette a more elevated look. Blue and orange accents on the tongue and insole also provide a subtle nod to the New York Knicks.
Special packaging is also expected to accompany the release, further emphasizing the sneaker’s connection to Jordan’s historic night in New York.
