After three decades together, LaVar Ball says he and his wife, Tina Ball, have gone their separate ways.
Speaking during an appearance with streamer N3on, Ball addressed the status of their relationship in his typically candid fashion.
“She wanted to go do something else… That’s fine with me, we had our run… It is what it is.”
The revelation marks the end of a relationship that helped build one of basketball’s most recognizable families. LaVar and Tina raised three sons who all reached the NBA: Lonzo Ball, LiAngelo Ball, and LaMelo Ball.
For years, Tina remained largely out of the spotlight while LaVar became one of the most polarizing and outspoken figures in basketball through the rise of Big Baller Brand and the careers of his sons. Despite the public attention surrounding the family, the couple’s personal relationship was rarely discussed publicly.
While Ball did not elaborate on the reasons behind the separation, his comments suggest the decision was amicable, with both parties moving forward after spending much of their lives together.
The news is likely to surprise many basketball fans who have followed the Ball family’s journey from Chino Hills dominance to NBA stardom. As of now, neither Tina nor the Ball brothers have publicly commented on the separation.
