The sneaker that was once primarily known as the “Chicago Reimagined” now has another moniker and backstory.
Now also known as the “Lost and Found”, they are inspired by the mom and pop shots of the 1980’s (I wonder of some of the same shops that inspired this sneaker were some of the shops that Nike sent break-up letters to earlier in the year).
The vintage aesthetic of the shoe has been covered ad nauseum, but it is the sneaker’s packaging that is garnering attention. The packaging is inspired by and meant to be a call back to pairs of original “Chicago” Air Jordan Is sitting in the back rooms of the aforementioned shops ( yes, Air Jordans routinely sat back in the day) complete with orange replacement box tops. The packing paper sports a graphic comprised of vintage sales adverts of the Jordan I from back in the day, and the aged aesthetic is completed by a invoice-style, hand written receipt.
The “Lost & Found” Air Jordan I High OG is, as it currently stands, scheduled to release November 19 at nike.com and select real venues; they will carry a 180 USD sticker price.
