PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s men’s basketball game with Longwood University that was scheduled for Friday, Dec. 31 is being postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests among Eastern Shore Tier 1 personnel.
The NCAA classifies Tier 1 personnel as the highest exposure tier and it consists of student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers and physical therapists, medical staff, equipment staff and officials.
The date of the rescheduled game is to be determined. With the postponement, the Hawks will now play their next game on Jan. 8 at home against Norfolk State.
