MRI on Damian Lillard’s knee inconclusive

According to the Portland Trail Blazers, the MRI on guard Damian Lillard’s right knee came back inconclusive.

The injury occurred in the third quarter of the 135-115 smackdown the Lakers laid on the Blazers in game four of their opening round playoff series. Lillard left the game and did not return.

In the game seeding push to get Portland into the playoffs, Lillard was putting in some major work, averaging 37.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 4.3 rebounds per contest.
In the series with the Lakers, he was putting up 28.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest.

The knee issues is just the latest injury Dame has been dealing with. He left game two after dislocating his left index finger.

Should Dame not be able to go or at a diminished level, the Blazers will need increased offensive contributions from C. J. McCollum, Jusef Nurkic and Carmelo Anthony.

The team also announced a second MRI would occur Tuesday afternoon.
