For the second time in less than a year, the Indiana Pacers are on the market for a head coach. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers have fired head coach Nate Bjorkgren.
While it seems like a quick hook to run a head coach after just one year, this doesn’t come as a shock to many within and close to the organization. Bjorkgren’s abrasive and problematic communication style rubbed many in the Pacers organization and caused him to completely lose the locker room. This disconnect translated into the suboptimal performance on the court.
Meanwhile , the guy they fired to hire Bjorkgren, Nate McMillan is coaching the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
