Coming on the heels of juggernauts such the “Concord” and the “Black/Red” this year’s holiday Air Jordan 11 has been met with a lacklustre reception. Add the fact that this was the 25th anniversary of the iconic silhouette and Jordan Brand was set to either knock it out of the park or a major let down.
It seems the latter would certainly be an accurate representation of the 25th Anniversary Jordan 11.
The nylon mesh of the upper is overlaid by smooth black lather at the ankle and by a high-cut black patent leather rand. “JORDAN” is spelled out down the eyelets, along with “23” on the heel and a metallic Jumpman on the ankle.
The upper sits atop a white midsole and a milky translucent rubber outsole.
The “25th Anniversary” Air Jordan 11 is set to release December 12 at nike.com and select retail establishments; they will carry a $220 USD sticker price.
