Ekpe Udoh had said on Eurohoops that his intention was to return to the EuroLeague in order to finish his career in the old continent. And he is about to return to a club that’s currently on the waiting hall of the EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup contender.
According to Eurohoops sources, Udoh is near a deal with Italian champions Virtus Bologna, which is aiming to be part of the EuroLeague sooner than later. With coach Sergio Scariolo on board and also by keeping Milos Teodosic, Marco Belinelli, and more, Virtus is on the verge of regaining its past glories and having a center like the Nigerian big man only helps.
The 2017 EuroLeague champion with Fenerbahce Beko and Final Four MVP has made a splash in the EuroLeague during his just two seasons in Turkey, before getting back to the NBA with a two-year deal with the Utah Jazz and spent the last two seasons in China.
Udoh is currently preparing for the Tokyo Olympic Games with the Nigerian national team.
In 58 EuroLeague games, Udoh averaged 12.3 ppg, 6,5 rpg, and 2.2 bpg.
