“College Blue” Air Jordan XVII retuning in February 2027

It took a quarter of a century but Jordan Brand has finally heeded the calls of fans and pulled the “College Blue” Air Jordan XVIII out of stasis.

The sneaker that was on Micheal Jordan’s feet during his first season with the Washington Wizards will make its long awaited retail return in 2027.

Although there are no available images we should see a white leather upper with black appearing at the collar,  inner, and tongue. A white Jumpman will be present at the rear heel, while a tag at the bottom of the lacing system reads “JORDA17”

The removable lace shrould also makes its return, with musical notes on the sides that are a reference to jazz music’s smooth and improvisational nature, a connection to the high end performance sneaker with that of a artistic and musical lifestyle.

The midsole, which should house Zoom air as well as a blow molded air unit,  is covered by a branded TPU shroud.

The “College Blue” Air Jordan XVII is expected to return February 19, 2027. Let us hope that Jordan Brand does not foul up this release as was the case with the “Lightning” and “UNC” lows.

It has not been determined if these, as was the case with their 2002 progenitor, will be housed in its special suitcase packaging.
