Former two-time EuroLeague champion Vangelis Mantzaris is joining 2021 Polish champion and Basketball Champions League debutant Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski.
Stal Ostrow won the Polish League title for the first time in the history of the club last season to earn a ticket to earn a ticket for the upcoming Basketball Champions League regular season. Mantzaris will have his first full-time experience of BCL after playing two games in the competition last season with Peristeri.
It will be a challenge for Stal Ostrow and Mantzaris since the team will be facing BCL powerhouses Pinar Karsiyaka (last season’s finalist) and Hapoel Jerusalem, plus Manresa in Group B.
Sportando first reported the news about Mantzaris’ deal with Stal Ostrow.
