The strange journey of Patrick McCaw and the Golden State Warriors has taken a new direction.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that McCaw is signing an offer sheet with the Cleveland Cavaliers today that is for two years and worth $6 million. The second year is non-guaranteed.
Wojnarowski adds the Warriors are waiting the arrival of the signed offer sheet before the team decides to match or not. According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, should the Warriors choose to match, it will cost them $11.3 million against the luxury tax.
Last year in his second season in the NBA, McCaw posted averages of 4.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 57 appearances.
