The Eastern Conference Finals that pits the New York Knicks against the Indiana Pacers tipped off tonight and Knicks’ guard Jalen Brunson broke out a new colorway of the Kobe VI Protro.
They sport a lavender upper that fades to a soft pink. A purple and lavender tessellated pattern wraps the heel, with white Swooshes adorning the lateral and medial sides. Perched atop the tongue is a Kobe logo, while a Kobe signature takes its usual position on the external heel counter.
Underneath the aforementioned upper resides a pink midsole and matching rubber outsole.
Despite 43 from Jalen Brunson and 35 from Karl Anthony Towns, a late jumper from Tyrese Haliburton took an unlikely bounce before falling through the hoop to force overtime. The Pacers outscored the Knicks 13-10 in the extra frame to steal Game 1 and home court advantage, 138-135.
