Sacramento Kings fined $50k

Thursday evening the NBA announced that the Sacramento Kings had been fined $50,000 for a violation of rules that prevents team owners and executive from interacting with score table personnel during games.

The release from the league specifies that the infraction occurred during a timeout early in the third quarter of the Kings January 2nd game against the Miami Heat when Assistant GM Wes Wilcox spoke to personnel at the scorers table about a timing issue during a jump ball.

It ended up being a double-whammy for the Kings- they not only got hit with the fine but the issue Wilcox took issue with that got them said fine, was actually handled correctly.
