“Shadow” Air Jordan X to release sans toe cap

Part of the lore of the Air Jordan 10 is that Michael Jordan loathed the toe cap that was on the “Steel” colorway, so much so that he decreed that the feature not be present on any other colorway, which it has not, including subsequent retros.

When it was announced the “Shadow” Air Jordan X was returning in 20025, initially it was speculated these may include the aforementioned maligned toe cap. It appears this will not be the case as according to zsneakerheadz, the upcoming iteration will be released sans the toe cap.

Although there are no available images, what we should see is a shadow grey nubuck upper with black leather overlays on the sides, the eye rows, and the collar. Red Jumpmen should be seen on the rear heel along with “AIR JORDAN 23” on the tongue.

Underneath we should see a black midsole and, to that point ( 1994-95) Jordan’s prodigious list of accomplishments reads on the Jumpman branded black and shadow grey midsole.

As it currently stands, the “Shadow” Air Jordan X is slated to debut on October 29.
