From Shaw University Sports Information Department:
RALEIGH, N.C. – With the help of the Shaw University Academic Success Department, members of the Bears football program volunteered their time in performing community service hours at the Wake Assisted Living Center located Raleigh on Tuesday (Apr. 16).
The student-athletes helped with preparation of lunch, cleaning and having fun playing a game of Bingo with some of the residents.
“We definitely enjoyed ourselves and look forward to participating in more community service projects,” said Recruiting Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach, Toryeon Hester. “This experience gave us an opportunity to bond together and it was very rewarding.”
