The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference adds Danyelle Mathis to staff as Deputy Commissioner.

As Deputy Commissioner, Mathis will serve as administrative oversight for internal business operations within the SIAC office. She will support the role of the Commissioner by managing daily operations, accounting, and human resources.

“We have a tremendous chance as a league to develop and improve our internal operations, and Danyelle is uniquely equipped to lead us in this area,” SIAC Commissioner Anthony Holloman, “With her expertise and abilities, I am confident that she will serve our conference effectively and have a beneficial effect on the entire league.”

Prior to joining the SIAC staff, Mathis worked in athletics, advancement, and marketing and communications offices for multiple institutions over the course of six years. Mostly recently, she worked in the proposals division for an Arlington, VA based program and project management consulting firm that specializes in federal government contracts.

She has a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas Christian University. Her diverse background in athletic operations, fundraising, and business management will help streamline business affairs within the SIAC office and create more opportunities for the Commissioner to further conference initiatives on a national scale.
