Jamil Scott (Fort Valley State) was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, while Oscar Jaquez (Edward Waters)earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
Kenyon Haynes (Edward Waters) was also tabbed Setter of the Week alongside
OFFENSIVE – Jamil Scott, Freshman, Outside Hitter, Fort Valley State
In Fort Valley’s single match against Tusculum University, Scott totaled eight kills with one error in 12 attacks for a .583 hit percentage.
DEFENSIVE – Oscar Jaquez, Freshman, Middle Blocker, Edward Waters
In two matches, Jaquez had one solo block, eight block assists, and two digs.
SETTER –Kenyon Haynes, Freshman, Setter, Edward Waters
Haynes totaled 54 assists in 2 matches. 33 of those assists came against Emmanuel College. Haynes also had 4 kills in both matches.
