Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section are seeking the public’s assistance in helping identify and find a man who stole a pair of Nike Varsity Compete Trainer sneakers from the Modell’s located at 1019 Montauk Highway on May 5 at 5:00 p.m.
Police say that after stealing the shoes, the man escaped in an older model blue Jeep Cherokee.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Individuals with information about the incident in question can submit an anonymous tip to Suffolk Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and a message to “CRIMES” (274637) or e-mailing www.tipsubmit.com.
