A Bronx couple had a nightmare experience when three robbers broke into to their home.
According to police at approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 22, three robbers forced their way into the couple’s apartment, catching the residents, a 32-year-old man and 31-year old woman, off guard.
The intruders wrapped the woman in a sheet and dragged her into another room and then subsequently pistol-whipped the man as they demanded him to divulge the location of his safe. When he refused , they burned his left arm with a hot spoon, which apparently prompted him to reveal the safe’s location.
The home invaders ransacked the domicile, stealing the aforementioned safe, jewellery and 25 pairs of sneakers.
The man was treated at the scene while the woman was unharmed.
The thieving triumverant escaped in a white SUV. Police have releases images of the robbers taken from the building elevator surveillance camera. One was wearing a dark baseball cap, black mask, black and green sweatsuit, skeleton gloves and black and white sneakers. The second male wore a red Chicago Bulls cap, dark Reebok hoodie, jeans and white sneakers. The third male wore a black hooded jacket, grey gloves, blue jeans and black Air Jordan 4 sneakers.
At this juncture there have been no arrests; police have asked that individuals with pertinent information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All call will remain confidential.
