Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Update on “internet idiots” armed robbery case

Back in a November 2020 segment of Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers, we reported on the story of a pair of sneaker robbers, who after committing an armed robbery that scored them two pairs of Air Jordan. If that were not bad enough, the duo was was actually inane enough to not only photograph themselves in their ill-gotten footwear but doubled down by being daft enough to post the picture on social media.

One of the males who took part in the armed heist, Dwayne Quamir Johnson, 19, who was 17 at the time of the October 20, 2022 robbery pleaded guilty Monday , March 21 in Luzerne Count Court on charges of robbery and carrying a firearm without a license.

Johnson was charged as an adult and is scheduled to be sentenced May 23.

The second who too part in the armed robbery with Johnson, has yet to be identified by police.
