Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Sections are seeking the public’s assistance in their efforts to track down the woman who could not be bothered to pay for the sneakers she took from the Famous Footwear located at 999 Montauk Highway in Shirley. The reported theft happened on February 21 at 3p.m.; after pilfering the shoes, the woman escaped in a green four-door Toyota pickup truck, according to police.
Police said the stolen footwear was valued at $70.
