FMU wins 2 games in 2 days at the SUN/SSAC Crossover Challenge

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. | Florida Memorial squeezed by William Carey by the score of 81-75 in game two of the SUN/SSAC Crossover Challenge at the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center.

FMU (9-6, 1-4) trailed by just three points at the break before exploding for nearly 50 second-half points. The Lions were led by Tariq Humes, who produced a game-high 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, including a sweltering 4-of-6 from downtown while teammate Tavin Pierre-Philippe finished with 12 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe.

As a team, FMU locked down William Carey on the defensive end and forced 18 Crusaders turnovers.

Florida Memorial returns to action on Tuesday, January 3 as they host Great Lakes Christian College in non-conference action. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
