In addition to the “”Freshwater”” colorway, Nike will also bring back the “Varsity Royal” version of the Air Griffey Max 1 in celebration of the silhouette’s 25th anniversary. This sneaker sports a varsity royal nubuck upper underlaid with white leather. “Freshwater” Nike Air Griffey Max 1 coming back in 2021

To commemorate the 25th anniversary its original 1996 release, the “Freshwater” Air Max Griffey 1 will make another return to retail in 2021. Last seen in 2016 as a celebration of Ken Griffey Jr.’s induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame, it should stay true to the original and feature a white and black upper accented with red and freshwater.
