Thunder waive Austin Rivers, could resurface with Bucks

The machinations of the post-trade NBA continue to play themselves out. Austin Rivers who was involved in the three-team deal that sent George Hill to the 76ers and young big man Tony Bradley to the Thunder, was waived by Oklahoma City on Sunday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium. Austin Rivers says he will play in Game 2

Austin Rivers was out for game 1 against the Golden State Warriors with an illness, he is expected to play in game 2 Tuesday, according to Fox 26’s Mark Berman. Without Rivers in the lineup, Iman Shumpert played 21 minutes, scoring just three points and missing three of the four shots he put up.
