Durant is eight months out from surgery to repair his torn right Achilles’ tendon that occurred in Game Six of the most recent NBA Finals. Could we see Durant on an NBA court before the season comes to a close? Much to the pleasure of the Nets ( and television executives and the NBA) , Kyrie Irving will be available for Brooklyn’s nationally televised game against the Los Angeles Lakers. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Brooklyn Nets star guard Kyrie Irving will miss the team upcoming road trip following an evaluation on his shoulder by team doctors. The right shoulder impingement had already sidelined Irving for the Nets’ previous 4 games. In the 11 games Kyrie has played Brooklyn, he has averaged 28.5 points and 7.2 assists per contest.

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Caris LeVert will miss the team’s Tuesday night game against the Utah Jazz with a sprained thumb, as reported by the New York Post’s Brian Lewis. Apparently LeVert hurt the thumb after taking a fall against the Phoenix Suns. It has only been nine games but LeVert has seen career-highs in points (16.9) , rebounds (5.0) and minutes (31.6).
