The two schools last met in the 2019 Classic, with Tennessee State claiming a 26-20 victory. Through seven games this season, Eddie George has led Tennessee State to a 5-2 record. Tennessee State head coach Eddie George has led the Tigers to a 4-2 record after their 24-17 Homecoming win over Norfolk State on Saturday. Though the Tigers got a win, that was ugly, and in doubt at times due to repeated TSU miscues, the uneven play of his team was not the only thing on the head coach’s mind.
