Late drive pushes FAMU past Southern 27-21

From FAMU Sports Information: TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Florida A&M University football team trailed early in the fourth quarter, but a Ryan Stanley 17-yard touchdown pass to Xavier Smith capped the rally as the Rattlers defeated Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) foe Southern, 27-21, in front of a packed house at Bragg Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The Rattlers (2-1) led 19-7 at the half, but watched Southern (1-3) score two second-half touchdowns to pull ahead, 21-19, with 14:53 remaining. Florida A&M’s Isaiah Martin signs with CSM Galati

Romanian basketball team CSM Galati signed former FAMU center and alum Isaiah Martin. In the three games Martin played in the Eurobasket Summer league, considered the top international summer league, he averaged 5.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals per contest. In the 18 games he played for the Rattlers, Martin put up 9.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game and was named to the National Association of Black Coaches (NABC) NCAA D1 All-Dsitrict Team.
