“Olympic” Air Foamposite One pictures finally surface

Although the 2016 Summer Olympics’ opening ceremony doesn’t commence for nearly 4 months(116 days to be exact), Nike is not waiting until then to get in the Olympic spirit. This upcoming Foamposite One features a patriotic red, white and blue color scheme.  A white foamposite upper is complemented by obsidian around the laces and red interior. A gold 1¢ logo and clear outsole complete this beautiful sneaker. These are slated for a July 22 release and will retail for $230. *images via Sneaker Bar Detroit

Nike Sportswear “Sharpie Pack”

In 1997 the NBA told Penny Hardaway that his  Foamposite Ones did not meet the uniform standards the league had in place at the time. So the young superstar solved the problem by taking a sharpie to his shoe and blacking out the “valleys” on the shoe. Penny was spotted wearing them during this past NBA All-Star weekend and now they will be available, as they are partnered up with an Orlando Magic inspired Penny VI as part of the “Sharpie Pack”.  The will release July 4 for $500.
