Goran Dragic resigns with the Heat

From the South Florida Sun Sentinel’s Ira Winderman: Goran Dragic confirmed during the opening minute of Friday’s NBA free-agency negotiation period that he will return to the Miami Heat. The agreement means the Heat effectively are removed from the salary-cap space game to directly sign a high-priced outside free agent. Dragic made his announcement on social media, posting, “I’m glad that I can announce that I’m staying.”

Goran Dragic not involved in Butler deal

In the sign and trade that sent Jimmy Butler to the Miami Heat in exchange for Josh Richardson , it was previously reported that point guard Goran Dragic was going to Dallas, but apparently that will not be the case. The New York Times’ Marc Stein reported that forwards Derrick Jones and Kelly Olynyck were the heat players that ended getting sent to Dallas. Stein added that it was initially headed to the Mavericks but Dallas decided not to go that route to retain financial flexibility for other roster moves…

Groan Dragic to play tonight

Miami Heat guard Goran Dragic is expected to make his return tonight. According to Tim Reynolds of the AP, the guard is available to play when the team takes on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Dragic had missed the previous three game dealing with a strained left calf.
