Courtesy of Norfolk State Athletics Norfolk State announced kickoff times for its highly anticipated 2025 home football slate on Friday afternoon. The Spartans will open the season against Towson on Thursday, Aug. 28, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. The game will air nationally on the ESPN family of networks. Stupid Things People Do for Sneakers: thieves execute smash and grab on Miami-Dade sneaker shop

Police in Miami are seeking a trio of individuals who were seen on surveillance video breaking into a local sneaker store.  The footage shows a dark colored SUV parking in front of Kicks Circuit at around 4 A.M. on June 26. Threei persons are seen exiting the vehicle, two removing oak multiple bins, while a third breaches the entrance with multiple kicks to the high-impact glass at the front door.  Upon accessing the store, the thieves wasted little time, quickly filling up the bins they brought with them.  Kicks Circuit…

Toriano Morgan Reportedly Had No Plans to Leave Edward Waters

Tennessee State Places Six on Conference Watch Lists Ahead of 2025 Season

The OVC-Big South Football Association released its preseason watch lists for offense and defense. Amongst the student athletes to make the cut were six Tigers. Tight end Jason Hoath, who has been key in blocking and has shown ability in the passing game was named to the Association’s offensive players to watch list.  Joining him is offensive lineman Anthony Smith. According to James Larson of Pro Football Newsroom, D.C. Defenders head coach Shannon Harris is now listed as the Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach at Tennessee State University.  A trip to the football coaches page on the Tennessee State athletics website does reveal that Harris is indeed listed as the Tigers’ Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach. Tennessee State Finalizing Deal to Name Nolan Smith Head Men’s Basketball Coach

According to college basketball insider and CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, Tennessee State is working on finalizing a deal with University of Memphis assistant coach Nolan Smith for its vacant men’s basketball position following the departure of Brian “Penny” Collins for a coaching job with the Memphis Grizzlies.
