Earlier today the Los Angeles Lakers announced that point guard Isaiah Thomas will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his injured right hip Thursday. According to ESPN.com’s Adrian Wojnarowski Dr. Bryan Kelly of the Hospital for Special Surgery, who will be performing the surgery, had this to say: We will be doing a minimally invasive procedure to ‘clean up’ the joint of all inflammatory debris related to his injury from last season. Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reported earlier today that Lakers’ point guard has left the team to get medical opinions on his hip. Trudell reports that Thomas has been dealing with pain in the hip and is traveling to New York to explore what can be done solve the issue.
