Miles College scored the go ahead touchdown with just three seconds remaining in the game to lift the Golden Bears to a 24-21 win and spoil Kentucky State’s homecoming. Kentucky State falls to McKendree University 34-17

McKendree University quarterback Reese Metcalf threw a career-high four touchdown passes in the Bearcats’ 34-17 victory over Kentucky State. Metcalf and the Bearcat offense got right to work, scoring on its first two drives. They took the opening kickoff and went on a 7-play, 65-yard drive that ended in a 5-yard touchdown pass from Metcalf to Steven Towns, Jr. The extra point gave McKendree a 7-0. The sophomore guard poured in 27 points to lead the Golden Rams past the Thoroughbreds in the opening round of the SIAC tournament.
