Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving will not play play in the team’s return preseason matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers Saturday in Shenzhen, China, according to an announcement made by the team Friday. The Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets are squaring off in preseason action as the NBA’s Shanghai Game. Kyrie Irving took part in exactly one minute of action, as he left the game following a collision with Rajon Rondo where is face crashed into his shoulder area. Caris LeVert also left the game after being poked in the eye. His return is questionable.

The Brooklyn Nets made a lot of noise in the off-season with their signings of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Today the world got a glimpse of the two Nets starts in their gamers. For Durant, who is recovering from that Achilles injury he suffered in the Finals, this will likely be the only time we will see him in a Nets jersey this season.

Following their “Green Lobster” Kyrie 4 and the “Ikhet” Kyrie 5, Boston based Concepts is dropping another collaborative Kyrie 5. Inspired by constellations , which can be seen on the tongue and Swooshes, this sneaker sports a gradient blue hue with tan showing up on the Flytrap . A darker shade of blue comprises the midsole with a light blue outsole completing the aesthetic. At this juncture, there are not release details available but we will have them once that information avails itself.

Kyrie Irving to meet with Nets Sunday, deal likely imminent

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, free agent Kyrie Irving is meeting with the Brooklyn Nets Sunday and both sides are “motivated” to get a deal done quickly. Getting the Irving deal done will allows the Nets to turn their focus to how they are going to proceed with D’Angelo Russell. Wojnarowski adds the Nets are looking at potential sign-and-trade scenarios rather than outright renouncing him.
