Kawhi to miss Pacers game due to “knee maintenance”

As teams figure new ways to get players rest throughout the NBA season, the latest term a club is trying to get over with us “knee maintenance.” This is the reason the Los Angeles Clippers are using to explain for holding Kawhi Leonard out against the Indiana Pacers. This is the sixth game that Leonard will have missed this season, all of which had been due to injury/load management issues. Leonard is still averaging 25.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.2 in the 18 games he has played in.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Danilo Gallinari will miss the team’s game with the Cleveland Cavaliers with a sore ankle, according to the LA Times’ Brad Turner.
