Say what you will about San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Colin Kaepernick, one thing you cannot say is that he does not put his money where his mouth is. Adidas and Parley to make shoes from recycled plastic

                  For over a year, Adidas has been hinting at a release of a shoe composed nearly entirely of plastic trash that was removed from the seas. In June of 2015, an initial prototype, which was created in a joint effort with the environmental organization Parley for the Oceans, was unveiled. The Swoosh blesses youngster who gave his teacher his favorite Air Jordans

Last week , Coronado High School student Hector Montez made news, when video of him surprising his teacher  an football coach, Thomas Walser with a pair of Taxi Air Jordan XII’s. Apparently the folks out in Beaverton got wind of Hector’s kind act and decided to return the favor by sending him some Jordans this week. Kyrie Irving and Kids Foot Locker donated kicks to Boys&Girls Club of Cleveland

This weekend , during his basketball camp, the Kyrie Irving Basketball ProCamp, Kyrie Irving partnered with Kids Foot Locker and donated 190 pair to the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland. The 190 represent the points Irving scored in the 2016 NBA Finals.  With all the negatives aspects of sneakers and sports that get so much run in the media, it is nice to report these kinds of stories.

After 17-year old Terrance Downs complimented Lynch on his Buscemi sneakers, the two struck up a conversation.
