image via Norfolk State Athletics Alex Lehmbeck, Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Communication Norfolk State football head coach Michael Vick announced three additions to his coaching staff on Wednesday, officially welcoming Tim Smith, DeCedrick Quinn Sr., and Wilson Appleton to the 2025 coaching lineup. Smith, one of two returners from the Spartans’ previous staff, retains his role as Norfolk State’s wide receivers coach. Quinn will serve as the team’s strength and conditioning coach while Appleton will coach cornerbacks. Smith remains with the Spartans after joining the program prior to the 2024 season. Junior Brooklyn Robinson picked up a win in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 8.38. She also placed third place in the 60 meters (7.63) and 18th in the long jump (16-6.25). Harper (G, 6-5, Fr., Washington, D.C.) tallied 35 points in the Bison’s overtime 80-79 loss to Hampton. Tuesday morning it was announced that Norfolk State graduate guard Diamond Johnson has earned a spot on the Women’s College All-Star Game Midseason Watchlist presented by Herbalife.  The watchlist is comprised of players who appear to be on the path to continue to play the game at the professional level.
