Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum will not be in the lineup tonight when the Blazers meet up with the Oklahoma City Thunder. NBC Sports Northwest’s Jamie Hudson reports that it is a right ankle sprain that will keep him out of tonight’s contest. According to the team, New York Knicks rookie RJ Barrett will be out a week with a sprained right ankle. Barrett was on crutches following the game. The number 3 overall pick in this past NBA draft is averaging 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 31.2 minutes per contest.

New Orleans Pelicans C/F Derrick Favors told reporters following Thursday’s shootaround that he is “ready to go tonight” in regards to the team’s game against his former club, the Utah Jazz. The big man had missed the previous two contests with a strained hamstring but said, “I feel good. Phoenix Sunda small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. will not play in the team’s Thursday night game against the New York Knicks, according to Arizona Sports’ Kellan Olson. Sherrod Blakely of NBC Sports Boston, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum will not be in action for their game Wednesday night against the Detroit Pistons with tendinitis in his right knee. Blakely adds that Tatum is going to travel with the team with the intention of playing against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
