NBA sends out memo to teams about anti-tampering rules

Today the NBA sent a message to its teams about tampering…..literally. The comments of LeBron James ( and those of Giannis Antetokounmpo, though they aren’t getting near the amount of pub) in regards to Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis were, much to the delight of several NBA GM’s, the impetus for the NBA sending out a memorandum to teams to remind them of tampering rules. This gave Bulls brass the opening to fire coach Fred Hoiberg. His replacement Jim Boylen made such a wonderful impression on the team that they reported him to the NBAPA over his practice schedule.  It has not been the homecoming Jabari Parker had hoped for. Thinking he…

Rumour: Lebron suggested Cavaliers trade Kyrie for Damian Lillard

Though LeBron James told the Cavaliers not to trade Kyrie Irving during the summer of 2017, it appears he made no effort to bring him back into the fold following his request.  Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com had this to say on 92.3 The Fan Cleveland:  Let’s be honest: LeBron didn’t do anything, until they were going to trade him, to try to keep him here. He didn’t try to talk to him. He didn’t try to mend the fences. It wasn’t until they said, “LeBron, we’re giving him to Boston”…

Nick Young signs with Denver Nuggets

Nick Young has agreed to a deal with the Denver Nuggets. The team made the announcement Monday morning.  Young comes to the Nuggets fresh off a championship with the Golden State Warriors last season. Though his minutes, 17.4, were the lowest since his rookie season and his points, 7.3, tied a career low, Young can still be a valuable scorer off the Denver bench. Last season he shot 37.7 from distance and had hit at least 36.9 percent of his three over the past five seasons.  With injuries to Gary…
