According to espn.com’s Adrian Wojnarowski the Los Angeles Lakers are in talks to try to acquire the services of Phoenix Suns forward Trevor Ariza. It appears that both teams are working on bringing a third club into the deal that would take on Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as a component of a potentially bigger trade. Markkanen to come off bench in season debut

Earlier today the Chicago Bulls announced that power forward Lauri Markkanen would make his season debut. It was uncertain that if Markkanen would start or come off the bench or if he’d start. The coaching staff also was undecided if there would be any minutes restriction implemented. According to K.C. Although not how it was planned, Bulls power forward Lauri Markkanen will make his season debut tonight against the Houston Rockets.  A Tuesday return for Markkanen had been kicked around inside the Bulls’ organization. Bobby Portis out 4 to 6 weeks week MCL sprain

Earier today the Chicago Bulls announced that power forward Bobby Portis was diagnosed with a moderate MCL sprain in his right knee and will be out four to six weeks. K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune initially reported that Portis was expected to be on the shelf for at least a month.
