Ricky Rubio out tonight versus Memphis

Utah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio will miss their game Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies with a hip issue. The team listed Rubio on their injury report as out with left hip tightness. Another side effect of Rubio’s injury is it now leaves the team without a healthy point guard on the roster( an incidence that has now occurred seven times this season), as fellow point guards, Dante Exum and Raul Neto are also out with injuries.

The injury bug has kicked the New Orleans Pelicans in the tooshie again. The ballclub announced earlier today that guard E’Twaun Moore will be out at least 7-10 days with a left quadriceps tendon he has been battling and now it appears they will be without point guard Jrue Holiday for at least that same amount of time. According to Nick Friedell of ESPN, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said that he expects two guard Klay Thompson to play Friday against Denver. Thompson has missed the team’s last two games due to soreness in his right knee. He will be an welcome addition back to the Warriors who are coming off getting poundcaked by the Boston Celtics, 128-95 on Tuesday night.
