Norfolk State’s Terron Mallory named HBCU Defensive Back of the Week

title image via Norfolk State Athletics Wednesday afternoon, Norfolk State’s Terron Mallory was named the HBCU Defensive Back of the Week by the Jim Thorpe Awards. Though the Spartans got it handed to them 42-3 by the Pirates of East Carolina, despite forcing six turnovers, Mallory had himself a game. Richardson has been named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon. Richardson tied his career-best with 10 tackles on Saturday against South Carolina State, including four solo tackles.
