Although Tennessee State is coming off a troubling loss to Lane College of the SIAC, ay least one person on the tigers roster who did their job. Sunday afternoon, the Ohio Valley Conference named TSU punter Kaleb Mosley Specialist of the Week. In the loss to Lane, the senior punter/kicker’s foot was perfect, connecting on all three of his PATs and both of his field goal attemps, a 35-yarder and a 51-yard kick , a career long boot, that tied the game with just 14 ticks left in the contest.…

Despite the heroics of Patrick Smith, who caught a career-high three TD passes, Tennessee State came up short against previously winless Tennessee Tech 30-26 in Cookeville. Tennessee Tech opened up the scoring in the first quarter when a 5 play, 47 yard drive resulted in a Nick Madonia 40-yard field goal giving the Golden Eagles a 3-0 lead. Tennessee State dropped a pivotal Ohio Valley Conference game ,but the Homecoming Game, to Austin Peay 21-17. The Tigers would ultimately put themselves in a 14-3 hole, which they would dig themselves out, but eventually came up short.
