Tennessee State linebacker Monroe Beard was named Big South-OVC Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Beard, a junior out of Chattaanooga, Tennessee, set the TSU single-gmae record for tackles, with 19 in the Tigers, 20-10 loss at UT Martin on Saturday. Tennessee State was able to get their second win of the season with a dramatic, come from behind-from-behind 27-25 win over 2022 Big South champion Gardner Webb in the 25th John A.
