Nike’s Alpha Project of the late 1990’s and early 2000’s birthed some truly amazing silhouettes, particularly from a basketball sneaker standpoint. These were worn by Kevin Garnett back in the 2000 Olympics , when he was still with the Swoosh and are finally due for a return. Sporting its original white and blue look, the “GARNETT” that was on the lateral side is now home to the five dots of the Alpha Project. It also retains it zippered enclosure and Foamposite upper. Although no official release date has been announced,…

The sail and obsidian Air Jordan 1 is one of the highlights of the deluge of Air Jordan 1 colorways on the docket for the rest of 2019 and into 2020. It bears more than a passing resemblance to the Blue Chill Air Jordan 1 that dropped in February, with a few differences. This one sports a leather build instead of patent leather and its under panels are sail instead of white. As the release date is a little more than two weeks away, Nike has released official images of…

As the release date of the black and red ( we do not use that ridiculous nickname here) Air Jordan XI, more images of this highly anticipated release will surface, as is the case with the images below. As has been previously reported, the 2019 version of this shoe will feature the higher cut ( as it should always be) patent leather rand and its white edges, which are more in line with the OG XI. Other features include red and white branding, white midsole and red outsole. In case…

I feel like a broken record, but there are Air Jordan 1s on the way in 2020. This one will make use of a natural grey, white color palette. No images have surfaced yet but the speculative thought is that the sneaker will feature a grey based upper; i.e. it will not be the original white and neutral grey colorway. The “Neutral Grey” Air Jordan 1 High OG is expected to drop sometime in July 2020 at nike.com and select retail venues. The sticker price is set at $160 USD.…

if you missed out on any of the previous incarnations of the “Shattered Backboard” Air Jordan 1, perhaps these could be some sort of consolation prize. It is inspired in its color pallet and blocking by the original Shattered Backboard 1. It features black nubuck overlays at the front of the shoes underlaying starfish leather. Its white side panels are home to black Swooshes on both the medial and lateral sides, with the rear heel wrap features a Wings logo. A white midsole and starfish outsole completes this shoe’s aesthetic.…
Read MoreImages of the Purple Camouflage Nike Air Foamposite Pro
Nike has continued the kicks to the junk of the legacy of the Foamposite line by over saturating the market with releases that were not only ill conceived but poorly executed as well. This upcoming Foamposite Pro checks all of those boxes. It sports a purple camouflage print across its Foamposite upper with black showing up on the eyelets, lateral Swoosh and on the collar. Fuchsia is the hue for the tiny forefoot Swoosh and for the “FOAMPOSITE “ that is on the rear pull tab. A black outsole with…
Read MoreA first look at the gym red Air Jordan 9
Images have emerged of the white and red Air Jordan 9 that is slated to release later this year. Bearing perhaps a passing similarity to a 2013 sample ( which actually looks way better) this Air Jordan 9 features a white leather upper overlaid by a red patent leather rand that also wraps up to the collar. The white tongue is topped red with “AIR JORDAN” appearing in black. This upper sits atop a red midsole and a white outsole with black Jumpman branding. The “Gym Red” Air Jordan 9…
