Tennessee State’s Jaylen Jones claims second straight OVC Freshman of the Week

 Jaylen Jones earned his second straight Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week award after he was named Co-Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon.
 
Jones repeated as Freshman of the Week after averaging 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in a pair of contests against Alabama A&M and Austin Peay.
 
The Nashville native made his second and third start of the season and tallied 13 points, six rebounds, six assists and a steal in the overtime loss at Alabama A&M. He followed that with 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, and a steal in a home court victory over Austin Peay. Jones has tallied six-straight double-digit scoring efforts for the Tigers and is averaging 10.9 ppg and 5.1 rebounds.
 
TSU and Jaylen Jones will be back in action on Sunday afternoon as they will travel across town to take on Lipscomb at 4:00 p.m.
