The “Texas” is but one of several colorways of the still very popular KD IV that has been a part of Nike’s recent release plans.
As could be gleaned from its moniker, this KD IV is inspired by the University of Texas where Durant enjoyed a short, he was one-and-done, but a wildly successful collegiate career that propelled him to being the no.2 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. They sport a burnt orange fused upper with white wrapping the rear heel. Longhorn logos on each tongue, while a large white Swoosh is prominently displayed on the ankle strap. On the aforementioned heel wrap a burnt orange Swoosh appears, with a KD log present at the rear and a smaller Swoosh on the toe that complements the upper’s branding.
Below resides a burnt orange midsole and KD-branded white rubber outsole.
As it currently stands, the “Texas” Nike KD IV is planned to be another addition to what is shaping up to be a rather robust holiday season release roaster.
