When they initially debuted back in 1982, the Nike Field General 82 quickly cemented itself as the preferred gridiron performance option for football players across the nation.
Forty-two years after its original release, Nike is bringing the Field General 82 back, with a few contemporary alterations.
It sports a white upper spread across a mesh foundational layer overlaid with tumbled leather. Suede Swooshes adorn the lateral and medial sides, with the same material present on the branded rear heel; additional Nike logos are seen on the tongue and insoles.
The aesthetic is completed by a gum rubber midsole and molded turf-specific rubber outsole.
The “White Gum” Nike Field General 82 is slated to make its return in the summer of 2024. They will carry a 100 USD sticker price.
