Monday the NBA announced their conference players of the week for games played during the week of February 28-March 6. The Timberwolves Karl-Anthony Towns was named Western Conference Player of the Week, while the Celtics’ Jayson Tatum took honors as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
Towns put together an outstanding week, averaging 28.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in helping to power the Wolves to an undefeated week. Towns is displaying the caliber of play worthy of the star player he was expected to be.
Jayson Tatum had a phenomenal week, helping Boston to a 3-0 week, while putting together scoring games of 33, 37, and capping the week off with a 54=point masterpiece against the Nets on Sunday. In addition to the prodigious scoring output Tatum displayed this week, he added 6.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists per contest for the week.
