Win over Tuskegee keeps Albany State’s SIAC record clean

Albany State defeated Tuskegee (69-67) on Monday evening at the ASU West Campus Arena to remain undefeated in the SIAC.  With the win, the Golden Rams improved to (4-1) overall and (2-0) in the SIAC while Tuskegee fell to (1-6) overall and (0-2) in the conference.
 
The teams exchanged leads throughout the opening stanza and were tied (29-29) at the half.  Both teams continued to exchange buckets in the 2nd half.  As expected, the game came down to the final play.  With 2 seconds remaining, the Golden Rams Andy Antoineblocked a shot attempt by D’Anthony Pennington that would have sent the game into overtime.  Shakur Poteat secured the rebound and the Golden Rams escaped with the 2 point victory over the Golden Tigers.
 
Jamir Moore led the Golden Rams with 18 points.  Terin Wofford finished with 13 points, 3 steals and 2 rebounds.  Shakur Poteat added 12 points and 3 assists.
 
Martez Jones led the Golden Tigers with 22 points and 14 rebounds.
 
The Golden Rams will be back in action against Florida A&M at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 29, in Tallahassee, Florida.
